Clinical Supervision for Psychosexual Therapists
Clinical supervision is an essential part of ethical and effective practice, providing a reflective space in which therapists can think about their clinical work, develop their skills, and maintain professional standards.
I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor, a COSRT-accredited Relationship and Psychosexual Therapist, and an EFS and ESSM-certified Psycho-sexologist. I currently work as a Supervisor and Academic Tutor at Tavistock Relationships in London and have previously worked there as an Assessor and Visiting Clinician.
I offer specialist supervision to trainee and qualified psychosexual therapists and sex therapists. My supervisory approach is primarily psychodynamic and informed by the integrative model of psychosexual and relationship therapy developed at Tavistock Relationships, where I completed my training.
Supervision provides a collaborative and reflective space in which to explore clinical work, formulate sexual and relational difficulties, think about therapeutic process, and consider ethical and professional issues arising in practice.
Areas of particular interest include:
Sexual difficulties and dysfunctions
Desire discrepancies and intimacy issues
Sexual trauma
Compulsive sexual behaviours and pornography use
The impact of illness, menopause, ageing and life transitions on sexuality
Working with individuals and couples
Assessment, formulation and treatment planning
I offer online supervision via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar secure platforms.
My fee is £80 per 50-minute session, with a reduced fee of £50 for trainees.
As part of my own commitment to good practice, I attend regular individual and group supervision and receive supervision for my supervisory work.
